Softly Smile

This is one of my go-to poses for couples. Turn toward each other and share a soft, natural smile.

It helps ease photoshoot jitters and creates real connection. During your session, I’ll give you gentle prompts like “Remember your first date together” or “Look at her,  isn’t she beautiful?” to help you relax and focus on each other.

Arms over the collar bone

I really love this pose. It’s not too much and not too little.

There are lots of easy variations, and it’s a great one to start with. It helps you feel safe and comfortable with your person close behind you, which usually makes the session go smoother.

A couple shares a romantic moment outdoors, with the woman in red smiling as they touch foreheads near an American flag.

Forhead touch

This is a sweet and simple pose I use. Stand close, face each other, and gently touch foreheads. You can close your eyes or look at each other softly. It feels calm and intimate, and it’s a great way to ease into the session.

Kiss with your teeth

This one always comes right after the forehead touch. It’s a little more intimate but always creates the sweetest moments. I ask them to “kiss with your teeth” which usually gets a confused laugh and ends up with genuine smiles and laughter. I’ve always gotten great results with this pose!

brush her hair with your hand

Easy but really cute. Gently brush the top of her hair with your hand don’t go too hard, just a soft touch. You can also tuck her hair behind her ear. It’s a sweet, natural moment that looks beautiful in photos.

Selfie

This one is unique and fun. Most couples already take selfies together, so I take that natural habit and bring it into the photoshoot. It feels relaxed and can create different moods, like looking back at old memories or capturing an exciting moment.

Turn around & Head tilt

This is a guy’s favorite pose. I always laugh when the guy hears it and says “Oh I can do that!” and yep, it’s super easy. The girl turns around to look at him while he holds her. You can keep your hands apart or gently touching. It’s a great pose for engagement photos because it lets her shine and shows off the ring nicely.

Silly walk and bump hips

This one is playful and fun, but it usually takes a couple tries. At first, couples tend to be a little shy and make small movements. The second time around is always better. My tip is to go big and dramatic. Swing your arms, bump hips, and really move while holding hands. The more energy the better!

20 kisses

This one is always the cutest. I have them give 20 quick kisses on the neck, forehead, cheeks, lips, or ears as fast as they can. They usually end up sneaking in a few extra kisses, which makes it even sweeter.

For the final pose, have your partner kiss your knuckles one by one. It’s elegant and sweet at the same time. The girl can look at her partner or toward the camera both look beautiful.

Conclusion

The most important thing is to enjoy the moment together. When you feel relaxed and connected, your photos will naturally show that love.
